Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has released a new book titled God, Guns, Grits and Gravy, as an advance to another Presidential run. The response from his supporters is consistent, but a few high profile detractors have used their platforms to call him on the carpet for suggesting Beyoncé is being pimped out to the entertainment business by her husband Jay Z. First, on an appearance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” Stewart took umbrage to the lines about Jay Z, “arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp,” and that Beyoncé, “Doesn’t need to be as risqué to be popular.” He countered with a clip of Huckabee’s former Fox News Channel show with him playing bass in a musical performance by rocker Ted Nugent singing, “Cat Scratch Fever.” Next was an appearance on “The View” with guest host Michelle Williams, told Huckabee, “”I’m not the Carters’ spokesperson, but to hear some of those comments that you said, I thought were very, very, very low.” The discussion on Jay Z and Beyoncé basically take up about a half page in the 272 page book, which outlines the differences of opinion between people who live in metropolitan “Bubble-villes” versus those in more rural “Bubba-villes.”

  1. This is a poor attempt to become relevant for another run for president, which he is destined to lose again. The words spoken and written are unfair at best, misguided and stupid at worst.

  2. No longer relevant so he is attack easy targets for the ‘conservatives.’ If he tries to run for president again, he will embarrass himself.
